A Thank You to Imaginisce!

A while ago Imaginisce sent me their "Fairest Of Them All" Collection to play with. I loved this super cute line the moment I first saw it, and I knew that even though I have all boys I had to find some great pictures to use this beautiful paper with! Thanks to my brother Adam's cute photos of my sweet niece Annie, and a little digging in my parents photo albums I did find some photos to scrapbook. Take a peek:
And after these three layouts I still had tons of product left so I went to town on a baby shower set: Here is a close up of the mock invite: The Guest Thank You Gift Bag:
And a close up of the Gift Frame: And then I still had some stuff left, so I decided to try a little Birthday Card and Gift Tag set with the rest of my scraps: All together this was a super fun line to play with. I had a great time coming up with my projects and I just want to say a big thank you to Imaginisce for letting me play with them! Thanks!!!!!!

Quick Scrapbooking Update

So sorry for the lack of blogging...but this is certainly my busiest time of year. I'm already starting CHA work, plus tons of photo sessions...thus the blog suffers a little. The good news is that I think my Christmas shopping is almost all done! Tree's up, house is decorated, and our family Christmas traditions are already in full swing. Yay! And I know what I'm going to do for neighbor/teacher gifts this year--I'll work on that tonight! That makes me feel a little bit ahead of the game as far as Christmas goes at least. I know I have a mountain of session to show highlights from, plus a whole lot of family photos I'd like to share --Blake and Ty's birthdays, Disneyland trip, Halloween etc.--but that will have to wait for a different day.
So here's a look at some of my more or less recent projects:
This one is a gift bag I did for the Queen and Company blog last month. You can see some close ups and instructions here:
And, for those out there that like sketches here are a few I did for the simple inspiration blog. A new sketch is going up everyday--so if sketches are your thing be sure and check it out here:
This is an older layout I did last Spring for Chatterbox. It appears on the packaging of their "Love Bird" page kit.
And I had a lot of fun with these frames from the dollar store. They were very plain so I covered them with Melissa Frances papers and embellishments. This one uses their Hush-A-Bye line:
And this one features their "Little Boy Blue" line:
And this one is another older one that I should have put up a few months ago, but forgot. This layout about my little niece Annie (thanks to my brother Adam, but the way, for the great photo), was in the August Basic Grey newsletter. It is based on a sketch by Becky Fleck. You can see the newsletter and sketch here:
http://www.basicgrey.com/clientuploads/aug08BGnewsletter.pdf
And here are 3 of my November layouts for scrapbooks.com:
And last, something I'm really excited about! I am one of the contributing artists to this little book right here:

I had so much fun doing layouts for this book and am so excited to see the final product! The amazing Courtney Walsh is the author and she has pulled together all kinds of great time saving tips and ideas to help make scrapbooking something you can do faster and easier, even though you might be super busy (and who isn't ?) Other contributing artists are Greta Hammond, Nic Howard, Heather Burch, Kelly Goree, Brenda Carpenter, Jennifer Pebbles, and Linda Albrecht.

I know what your thinking. How did my name end up getting mixed in with these super talented ladies? The answer is "I have no idea!" But, I am counting my lucky stars and giddy from excitement over it. :)

It just came out, and Amazon is already almost out of stock! Yay! My copies should be in my hands soon--I can't wait! :)

Happy Halloween!!!

I love Halloween! It's my favorite holiday--probably because of the amount of chocolate involved--but also because it is the start of the holiday season, the beginning of colder weather (at least here in Texas) and very non-stressful. There are very few commitments and expectations out of Halloween--other than to have fun and eat candy; and trust me, I plan to do both in abundance tonight :)
But since this is the beginning of the holiday season what I have to share today also seems to fit right in. Many of you know that I have the wonderful opportunity to be on the Chatterbox design team. Chatterbox is a fantastic company whose scrapbooking products have been on my absolute favorite list for several years now. Every time they come out with a new release I'm always filled with inspiration and amazed at the simply beauty of what they create. This particular time is no exception. Chatterbox has just released a new Christmas kit available only at Sam's Club and I had the chance to play with it a bit this week. Take a peek:
I hate trying to get a good scan of lumpy projects. This time my scan made things on the right side look a little askew, but everything is straight in real life :)
Here is a closer look at all the details:

This kit is just chalk full of all kinds of great stuff--ribbons, journaling tags, brads, felt, chipboard embellishments, stamps, chipboard letters, and stickers--just to name a few things--it even comes with an album! I fully intend to complete several more projects with it before Thanksgiving :) Be sure to check out all the other fabulous projects by other members of the design team on the Chatterblog.

Thanks for stopping by and happy Halloween everyone! :)

How about a few layouts and cards?

I've had a great time scrapbooking these past several months and I thought it was time to share some things I haven't before on the blog. First up are some layouts (I did these a long time ago, but never posted them) for an article on using glitter for Memory Makers Magazine. These were supposed to be in the March/April 08 issue, but the article got moved to the web-site. You can see them and the other beautiful glitter layouts here: www.memorymakersmagazine.com/tryglitter
And here is some more recent Christmas cards done using Queen and Company's felt fusion. I went a little wild with the sewing machine on these cards :) I loved the way they turned out.
And one more Christmas card using Queen and Company's felt fusion, Queen and Company's brads, and some cute Christmas papers by Melissa Frances. The chipboard and NOEL sticker are Melissa Frances too.
More Melissa Frances Papers and embellishments here too on this baby girl card:
And I stepped out of my comfort zone for sure on these well wishes tags, but it was really fun. I don't usually try a shabby-chic/vintage look, but I'm getting ready to start scrapbooking a bunch of heritage photos my mother gave me so I figured it was time to give it a try.
Here is a more traditional layout for me using even more Melissa Frances papers and embellishments. Also my current favorite thickers--which seem to show up on every baby page I do :)
And these are some recent Chatterbox projects. The first is a layout about Spencer's quirks at this age, and the second is the cover of a mini album I did about our trip up to the bluebonnet field last spring.
And last but not least, these are my Scrapbooks.com projects from September and October (click for a larger view).
